Scope
The scope includes the use of Virtual Reality (VR) and Augmented Reality (AR) as supportive tools for training (maintenance, industry, etc.), learning – whether face-to-face or remotely and rehabilitation practices, identification of viable alternatives for using interaction techniques common to Virtual and Augmented Environments (AVs) for such purposes or discuss the simple applications of VR and AR in educational, rehabilitation, including massive training environments.
Guidelines
We welcome paper submissions between 4 and 6 pages, including references. Paper length should be commensurate with the importance of the contribution. Authors are encouraged to submit videos to aid the program committee in reviewing their submissions.
All submissions describing research experiments with human participants must follow the appropriate ethical guidelines required by your institution, and authors are required to secure and report their approval by the relevant ethics committee. An approval by any ethical review board, if required by your affiliation, needs to be indicated via the submission system.
Papers submitted for the Workshop Committee’s evaluation must not include any information leading to the authors’ identification. Therefore, the authors’ names, affiliations and bibliographic references should not be included in the early version. This information should only be included in the final version.
Each paper should provide a validated contribution covering one or more of the following categories: application or system.
- Application papers provide an important insight by explaining how the authors built upon existing ideas and applied them to solve an interesting problem in a novel way. Each paper should include an evaluation of the success of the use of Augmented Reality, Virtual Reality or Mixed Reality in the given application domain.
- System papers should indicate how the developers integrated techniques and technologies to produce an effective system, and convey lessons learned in the process.
Submitted papers must not have been published and must not be under review for any other conference and national or international publication.
