Scope
In today’s fast-evolving digital landscape, marketing, communication, and e-commerce strategies are increasingly intertwined with innovative technological advancements. The 1st workshop on “Technologies Applied to Marketing, Communication, and E-commerce” explores the transformative role of technology-driven solutions in shaping customer journeys, enabling personalization, driving engagement, and improving brand perception.
The scientific scope of this workshop will focus on investigating the implementation, benefits, and challenges of technologies in contemporary marketing, communication, and e-commerce, especially considering the rise of phygital or omnichannel strategies, where physical and digital realities converge, which is pushing the boundaries of the field, transforming brand strategies and consumer expectations across sectors. Omnichannel strategies leveraged through technology have become essential in creating seamless brand experiences, from social media to physical retail spaces. Research studies can illustrate, for example, how immersive experiences (such as augmented and virtual realities) can foster deeper engagement across platforms, how the challenges of using AI for customer segmentation and hyper-personalization, or how the Internet of Things (IoT) fosters new possibilities within omnichannel experiences and the customer buying journey.
By examining these emerging trends, the workshop addresses how managers, marketers, communication strategists, and e-commerce professionals can leverage technology to meet the rapid digital shifts and stay competitive in a global market. Both academic research and industry case studies are admitted, offering a platform to discuss innovations and best practices in the use of technology in areas like digital marketing, advertising, social media, and customer relations, amongst others. This multidisciplinary workshop will promote knowledge exchange, collaboration, and new insights into the future of technology applications in marketing, communication, and e-commerce.
