All conference sessions will be held at the Instituto de Lenguas Modernas (ILM) at the University of Extremadura. The ILM is located in the center of Cáceres, in the Virgen de la Montaña Avenue, 14.
HOW TO GET
Cáceres is located at kilometer 550 of the A-66 motorway, also known as the Ruta de La PLata. If you come from the North or from the South, it is best to approach this route.
If you are coming from Madrid, you have to follow the A-5 motorway until you reach Trujillo, where you have to take the A-58 that connects Trujillo with Cáceres. The distance between Madrid and Cáceres by these motorways is 301 Km.
In Extremadura there is an airport located in the town of Talavera la Real (Badajoz), which is 121 km from Cáceres. There are daily flights with Madrid and several flights a week with Barcelona. More information about the airport at Badajoz Airport, tel. 902 404 704.
To come from the airport to Cáceres the best options are the taxi (about 110 €) or rent a car that can then be delivered in Cáceres. This service is done by the Europcar company and you have to contact them beforehand to leave the car at the airport. The rent costs about € 142. More information on 924 24 31 87.
The train station of Cáceres has ample services of average distance and it fulfills logistical functions; however, it lacks long-distance services. There are several daily trains that connect the Madrid Atocha-Cercanías station with the Cáceres train station in 3h: 50m on average.
The Cáceres Train Station is located on Avenida Juan Pablo II, very close to the bus station. They serve the public from 6:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. in the tel. 902 240 505.
AvanzaBus connects Madrid with Cáceres with 7 daily trips; take an average of 3 hours. 50 min. Schedules vary on weekends.
There is also a daily trip that links Barcelona with Cáceres in just over 12 hours of travel. It leaves of the North Station at 17:30 h. and two days a week at 8:00 a.m.
