Scope

Society 5.0 brings new challenges to education within all scientific areas and, consequently, to different professions. Education 5.0 upgrades Education 4.0, exploring the theme from a different perspective. On the one hand, in Education 4.0, technology plays a prominent role in the classroom. It focuses on digital, mathematical and logical knowledge, entrepreneurship, and collaborative learning, with the student as the main protagonist. On the other hand, in Education 5.0, although all these elements are maintained, new socioemotional skills are added. For example, the idea of collaboration takes on new proportions, going beyond collaboration among peers to learning focused on collaboration with the broader community and society.

Education 5.0 not only aims to help students acquire the required skills to enter the future labour market, but also offers solutions to improve people’s lives and bring social well-being. In so doing, it combines technology and human creativity to contribute to the betterment of the world.

Therefore, this workshop aims to address the challenges that this new Era brings to education in its various fields, for both academics and practitioners.

We are pleased to invite the academic and business community to submit papers to  Wed5.0 2024, included within the CISTI 2024, to be held from 25th to 28th June 2024, at the University of Salamanca, Salamanca, Spain.
